VERSION|0.5.1|NAME|Stonyground|DATE|1357161389|CONTENT|"Christianity teaches us that we cannot become a new person. As Nicodemus wisely pointed out in Saint John's Gospel, "How can I return my exercise book to mint condition? I cannot remove all trace of my doodles, nor can I straighten out its corners to their once glorious state of perfection.""

There was a time when I couldn't resist the urge to look up a Bible passage to prove the believers wrong, nowadays I just can't be arsed, they never admit they are wrong no matter how well you prove it.

However, at Sunday School I clearly remember being taught that Nicodemus was famous for being reborn. The whole point was that he was baptised, washed of all his previous sins and became a new man. The term 'born again Christian' comes from the story of Nicodemus surely.
