VERSION|0.5.1|NAME|Stonyground|DATE|1357163011|CONTENT|Now this is interesting. I couldn't resist looking this up, the first fifteen or so verses of John chapter three, for anyone interested. Giles is right, Nicodemus told Jesus that he was talking bollocks, and according to the Bible, never accepted the idea of being born again. Not only was my Sunday School teacher lying/mistaken, but Giles is taking the word of one of the hated Pharisees ahead of the word of Jesus.

Even more strange is the fact that I actually thought that this idea was one of the best that Christianity had to offer. The idea that a criminal who had, up to now, led a terrible life, could symbolically wipe the slate clean and become a better person from now on. Giles is siding with the Pharisees instead?|EMAIL|elizabeth@iww1967.wanadoo.co.uk|IP-ADDRESS|95.150.31.36|MODERATIONFLAG|
