What about a young person with learning difficulties? A court has ruled that one such young woman has the right to determine her own pregnancy.

The Church has not always treated those with learning difficulties well. They were often excluded because they could not understand the meaning, complexities and subtlety of Christian doctrine, but then again, who does?

Just because someone has learning difficulties, does not mean they are not perceptive. There is as much beauty and tenderness in their lives as in anyone's. They too have the right to make their own choices and even teach the rest of us a thing or two.
