Afterwards, one young actor explained from the stage, how he had witnessed his mother being beaten by a series of boyfriends. When he saw the same happening to his sister, his years of rage exploded and he almost killed the man.

Each actor told their tale in turn. Then they came down from the stage and mixed with the audience of the most challenging children in the region, explaining to them what might lie ahead.

All of this reminds me of Jesus. He told the story of the prodigal son which is so much more interesting than the lives of real young people and how they came to find themselves on the wrong end of the law. Jesus believed very much in the redemption of sinners... bla... bla... Christmas... bla... Easter... bla...
