VERSION|0.5.1|NAME|Dinah|DATE|1359377390|CONTENT|'The Holocaust, Cambodia, Rwanda - none of these were primarily motivated by religion.'

I would have thought that religion did play a major role in the Holocaust: the ancient antipathy between Jews and Christians which resulted from the Biblical texts blaming Jews for the death of Jesus. Anti-semitism had been rife in Europe for centuries before the Holocaust: at one point during the middle ages Jews were expelled from this country. That's not to say there weren't other causes, such as the depression in the German economy, leading to the election of an extremist leader, and the scapegoating of minority groups. |IP-ADDRESS|79.71.122.118|MODERATIONFLAG|
