Even in the early 1960s, there were 14 different nationalities in my class at primary school - OK, that was in South London, which has always been a bit of a melting pot, but even in the leafy part of North Essex where I now live, there are mini supermarkets catering to all sorts of tastes, and I don&#039;t see anything negative about that.
