I have often found the US problem of Christians wanting to force their religion into places where it is forbidden by their constitution quite interesting. Their childlike mentality seems to drive them to want to do something just because there is a rule against it. Here, where we have religion inflicted on us, both by the state and by our state funded broadcaster, we either ignore it by tuning in to something else, or we take the piss.

The idea that the state should be completely neutral on matters of belief seems to be so obviously sensible. The problem is that this sensible approach tends to have the opposite effect to the one that is intended.|EMAIL|elizabeth@iww1967.wanadoo.co.uk|IP-ADDRESS|95.150.29.241|MODERATIONFLAG|
