VERSION|0.5.1|NAME|Stonyground|DATE|1359810228|CONTENT|My daughter attended a CofE primary school, at present she attends a secondary school which is a technology college and is non-religious.* Even at the CofE school, other religions were studied in RE, I think that they were under an obligation to teach them. Obviously as a Christian school there would be some bias but I never got the impression that she was being indoctrinated. My approach toward religion was to tell her that, although I don't believe in God, she was free to decide for herself. She is now approaching her sixteenth birthday as is an atheist.

*They don't even hold religious assemblies, even though they are supposed to by law. I seem to recall that, a couple of years ago, some Bish or other piped up that this flouting of the law needed cracking down on. He was very quickly shouted down by the other bishops who realised that the most likely outcome of them making an issue of it would be that the law would be abolished.|EMAIL|elizabeth@iww1967.wanadoo.co.uk|IP-ADDRESS|95.150.29.241|MODERATIONFLAG|
