The commenters here have had a sensible discussion about the various rights and wrongs of speeding fines and attempts to evade their consequences. A lot more light has been shed by avoiding the yoking of the subject to a Hindu's particular brand of woo.

Personally, I see the current aproach to speed-limit enforcement to be a bit draconian. Reckless speeding is dangerous, being a tiny bit over the limit is not, not even a little. Also speed cameras are often deployed in a village close to me where the speed limit signs are obscured by hedges, this is illegal but they carry on doing it anyway. I think that that kind of thing tends to breed contempt for authority. For the record, I've never had a speeding ticket and have driven high milages for thirty-five years without causing a single prang.|EMAIL|elizabeth@iww1967.wanadoo.co.uk|IP-ADDRESS|95.150.29.241|MODERATIONFLAG|
