I love France. The French don't eat frozen meals, bought out of discount supermarkets, made out of horse meat from dodgy foreign abattoirs. No, the French buy local meat, from local butchers and local fruit and veg from local shops.

It's not like that in the UK. Here, people eat disgusting, packaged meals, made by international conglomerates and shipped across continents. What is more, we now know they contain dead horses instead of proper meat from dead cows. This is in direct contravention of Saint Paul's First Letter to the Corinthians: you must eat and drink while discerning the body. OK, Saint Paul was talking about taking communion, and he meant the Invisible Magic Friend's temporarily visible body, not ours, but I think the message applies equally well to frozen meals, don't you?

It really is about time that we, and by "we" I do of course mean "you", started caring a bit more about food. You're stuffing your face full of all sorts of unnatural additives, taking far too much sugar and salt, throwing too much away. Don't you realise there are starving children who are desperate to have your frozen horse meat left overs?

David Attenborough, a famously devout believer in the Invisible Magic Friend who likes to describe the world as "Creation", said that we should look after "Creation" a bit better. This theme will be explored in his new series, "Creatures of Creation, Created by the Creator."
