VERSION|0.5.1|NAME|Dinah|DATE|1360946451|CONTENT|This effort was a perfect example of how religion keeps people in a state of permanent infantilism. This guy is supposed to be a scientist, evaluating hypotheses by means of experiment and weighing the evidence. He is supposed to know about the laws of the Universe, be capable of critical thinking, and of knowing the differences between what is real, what is speculation but may one day be proved, and what is no more than wishful thinking. He believes the truth will set you free. Any yet he also believes in magic and the supernatural, that a particular god exists, and even claims to know the mind of that god. This despite the complete lack of evidence that any of the thousands of gods invented by humans have any objective existence outside of the human mind, or that any one of them has ever shown the slightest interest in human activity or attempted to communicate with us.

We expect children to believe in Father Christmas, fairies, gnomes, Harry Potter, to have imaginary friends, and to not appreciate the difference between what is pretend and what is real. We also expect them to eventually grow up and acquire a better understanding of the world. Unfortunately, for billions that growing-up and realisation will never be more than partial, and they will continue to hang on to one or other myth about the supernatural, most likely depending on where and when they were born.|IP-ADDRESS|79.66.213.180|MODERATIONFLAG|
