VERSION|0.5.1|NAME|Adrian|DATE|1361783437|CONTENT|The alignment process doesn&#039;t seem to work that well in Registax for me.  I usually take about 10 to 15 images of the Sun and stack them, by hand, by opening them as layers.  In GIMP I have to set the transparency of each successive layer to 100/n percent (so the bottom layer is 100%, then 50%, 33% and so on).  Aligning the images is done fairly easily by temporarily making each image a &quot;Difference&quot; image rather than &quot;Normal&quot;.  Lining the images up is then like simulating a total eclipse on the screen.  After you&#039;re done it&#039;s a case of flattening the layers to a single image before mucking about with contrast and the rest of it.
