Unfortunately I've become distracted by the seriously geeky topic of AA batteries.

It turns out that my Pentax K100D is one of the fussiest cameras in the world about what AAs it will consent to have being put in it. It also turns out that I've been using possibly the world's worst rechargeable batteries: Energizer 2500mAh's (2450's are fine, just not 2500's.)

I had no idea that the topic could be so fascinating. Alkaline, Ni-MH, lithium, low self discharge - all have quite different properties, voltage vs time and temperature characteristics.

Someone wrote that they didn't know what the definition of a Geek was, but watching batteries recharge must surely be pretty close. I think I'm well on the way, if not beyond the point of no return.|IP-ADDRESS|94.168.119.214|MODERATIONFLAG|
