VERSION|0.5.1|NAME|Dinah|DATE|1363601284|CONTENT|God is on the side of the poor, the disenfranchised and the seeker of justice. Unfortunately, he is also on the side of the the power-hungry, the autocrat and the torturer. With no existence outside of the human imagination, he, she or it can be anything the believer wants their God to be. Institutional religions do not have a good track record in the promotion of human welfare and happiness, because they largely exist for themselves. Occasionally, certain brave individuals within those institutions are prepared to tackle abuses of power and oppression. Some are lauded, others do not fare so well if the leaders of those institutions think their power is being threatened or undermined. An imaginary god can do nothing on its own except provide the motivation for good or bad deeds carried out by un-imaginary humans.|IP-ADDRESS|79.71.120.67|MODERATIONFLAG|
