VERSION|0.5.1|NAME|Dinah|DATE|1364232969|CONTENT|The reason supermarkets are reluctant to stock religious Easter eggs and religious Christmas cards is not because supermarket owners are inherently anti-religious (though possibly some may be) but because most shoppers in supermarkets do not want to buy them. Papers such as the Daily Wail and Torygraph try to convince their readers there is some giant anti-Christian conspiracy going on when all that is actually happening are the normal forces of capitalism shopkeepers are not going to continue to stock items which arent selling.

Interestingly enough or not, most of the earliest Christmas cards werent religious either, but depicted scenes of Christmas trees, of families sitting around decorated drawing rooms and diners eating Christmas dinners. Despite all the hysteria about putting Christ back into Easter and Christmas both festivals have pagan roots and have contained many secular aspects and celebrations for hundreds of years.|IP-ADDRESS|79.66.217.113|MODERATIONFLAG|
