VERSION|0.5.1|NAME|Edwin|DATE|1364455409|CONTENT|Watched the Widdicombe show and was annoyed all the way through that she was allowed a chunk of valuable broadcasting time for her own polemic and to put over one point of view. Just one factual observation.

A comedy programme made a skit on ignorant people taking Holy Communion that incensed her almost to a paroxysm of grief at .....nothing......

She was apalled that they were mocking the "blood and body of Christ" but it seemed to be a parody of a C of E communion so the RC would not recognise it as a valid "mass". CofE do not hold to the doctrine of transubstantiation so for a CofE believer the wine and wafer are just that, a remembrance, no holy cannabalism involved.

The rest of the programme was of the same high standard of reportage but it was amusing to see her disconcerted by 14th century scatological drawings on Psalters and the like.|EMAIL|aeduin@aol.com|IP-ADDRESS|92.6.65.209|MODERATIONFLAG|
