VERSION|0.5.1|NAME|Dinah|DATE|1364727978|CONTENT|Pepinster failed to mention St Paul, the real founder and spreader of Christianity, who expressed profound disgust for the body and sexuality. Considering the social mores of his time, Jesus seemed fairly laid-back about indulgences of the flesh, but Christians have traditionally been far more Pauline than Christian in their attitudes to sexuality, and for Pepinster to suggest otherwise is being disingenuous.

The New Testament as it finally emerged several centuries after the supposed life of Christ was put together by Christians who had fought off all the competing versions of their faith so obviously most things which didnt comply with their version were excluded. The evidence suggests that in its early years Christianity was more female-friendly, but eventually male chauvinism took over, and any suggestions that Jesus and Mary Magdalene were an item would have been expunged or omitted from the records.
