VERSION|0.5.1|NAME|Stonyground|DATE|1365443665|CONTENT|I don't think that this declaration that we are a seven class nation should be taken too seriously. The various classes seem to be pretty arbitrary and rather resembles something they just made up. The survey seems to have put much less emphasis on income and more emphasis on your interests and whom you associate with. Having done the survey, this had lead to what seems to me to be rather perverse results. Myself being a case in point. I had a comprehensive education, I fix pneumatic power tools for a living, I live in an ex-council semi, we have two cars and a motorbike. Apparently I am 'Established Middle Class' one category below the 'Elite'. The fact that I listen to classical music and go to the theatre sometimes seems to have bumped me up the ratings. The music question didn't have a tick box for me to express my love of Prog Rock, I imagine that if there had been, then my status would have taken quite a hit.
