VERSION|0.5.1|NAME|Stonyground|DATE|1366477056|CONTENT|As we were all wandering off topic, I was assuming that the Rev. Roy's piece was too bland to be worthy of comment. Since the parody made it sound pretty hilarious, I followed the listen link on this one. By about halfway through, I thought that you had been unbelievably unfair to him. I thought that his summing up of the measles crisis and the cirmustances that led to it were spot on. Then came the Bible bit clumsily nailed onto the end of it with nothing, just nothing at all relevant to add.

With reference to the scare about the MMR vaccine and autism, scientific ignorance among large sections of the population must take much of the blame. People not knowing who to believe should have done their own checking just as I did when my daughter was born at the height of the scare. The key piece of information was that there was no difference, in the figures relating to cases of autism, between populations that had been vaccinated, and populations that had not. The sample sizes were huge so there was not a shred of doubt that the link between MMR and autism was non-existent.|EMAIL|elizabeth@iww1967.wanadoo.co.uk|IP-ADDRESS|95.150.29.65|MODERATIONFLAG|
