It's been reported that a four year old is being treated for internet addiction. But this isn't about that little girl, this is about me.

You see, I have a terrible confession to make, I too suffer from internet addiction. I suppose the signs were there when I was young. I'd spend hours writing pithy phrases on post-it notes. Then mobile phones arrived and I discovered the joy of text. I'd send hundreds of texts to my many friends. I'm a celebrity Christian, writer, it's what I do.

Before I knew where I was, I had multiple Facebook accounts and twitter feeds. My wife noticed it, my children noticed it, even my Facebook friends noticed it. I had to keep checking to see if my words were being liked. Then Thought for the Day arrived. All of a sudden, I could reach millions of [strike]captive[/strike] captivated listeners, all desperate to hear my wisdom first thing in the morning. I'd rush to the blogs to see how it had been received? All I want is for people to love me.

If the Invisible Magic Friend hadn't wanted us to have Facebook pages he wouldn't have created Mark Zuckerberg. It's not idolatry to have people worship me. By worshipping a celebrity, Christian writer like me they are really worshipping the Invisible Magic Friend.

The Invisible Magic Friend created us to love him. Just think how many likes the Invisible Magic Friend could have if only he'd go on Facebook?
