VERSION|0.5.1|NAME|HarryR|DATE|1367679223|CONTENT|I find Geoffrey Bloom rather endearing.
He seems a tad confused or adept at double-think that he can witter on about the freedoms we have under christianity inspired western civilisation while also able to congratulate the French on blowing up Greenpeace's Rainbow Warrior when it was berthed in the harbour of an allied nation simply because it wished to use those very freedoms and protest against French nuclear testing in the Pacific, and in doing so killing a person on board.

Elsewhere on his wiki page it describes how, once appointed to the Women's Rights and Gender Equality committee, he expressed the view that women didn't clean behind the fridge often enough. At least this shows he doesn't skip his manly obligation to check on this in his own household.

He's similar perhaps to the selective libertarianism of the US Republican Right who witter on about freedom from any federal government regulation of anything and powers restored to the States ( so the US would be organised like London after Maggie abolished the GLC) and individual States co-operating as they wished to or not at all. Once free from the tyranny of the FDA, EPA and national planning of any kind US citizens would find their social freedoms strictly controlled by the State govt and State-sponsored religion which seems a bit of an intrusion compared to federal laws.

The elections to State govt would be smaller scale and much easier to game than larger federal elections, too.|IP-ADDRESS|91.65.244.60|MODERATIONFLAG|
