VERSION|0.5.1|NAME|Steve|DATE|1369054035|CONTENT|Jehovahs Witnesses dont do blood transfusions. Its got something to do with an interpretation of the bible. It is a deeply held religious conviction.

Jehovahs Witnesses are persecuted because of this belief. The UK government does not take their position into account when establishing the law on blood transfusions that applies to non Jehovahs Witnesses. Moreover, they cannot get jobs in A&E wards and operating theatres, because of a bias against their convictions.

Surely some flexibility could be found. Like, for example, that Jehovahs Witnesses could provide A&E and operating theatre services specifically to all the Tories and U-KIPpers who oppose gay marriage on religious grounds, a service wherein Jehovahs Witnesses can apply their deeply held religious conviction to people who do not share it. Because the people who would be subject to this new, religiously-based healthcare system have said repeatedly that this is precisely what they want, and that this is a principle that they completely and totally agree with.|IP-ADDRESS|10.0.119.138, 217.36.222.79, 10.37.61.204|MODERATIONFLAG|
