It seems odd to me that there is general outrage about child raping priests and paedophile gangs that racially select their victims but an admitted child rapist such as Polanski is honoured in a major democratic European country.

Just as the vatican shelters priests and others wanted for questioning in the UK about child abuse, so too do France and Switzerland shelter Polanski and refuse to return him to the court in the US which he absconded from.

It is known that he drugged a 13 year old girl with muscle relaxants and raped her vaginally, orally and anally. When foolishly given bail by the court he fled back to France where he has continued working for decades as an admired film director and lived a gilded life as a celebrity beloved by the famous and the beautiful who are fully aware of what he did.

Such is his confidence that he now lectures his society about the mistake of allowing women to have control over their own fertility and sexuality. Common ground with those Asian paedophile gangs, perhaps. Giving flowers to a woman is regarded as 'indecent' he declares.

Perhaps the annoyance he perceives when he attempts such seductions is the not unexpected response of a probably much younger woman shocked to be the sexual target of such a man.

I'm guessing that Polanski still likes women compliant and naive, dependent on the goodwill of men. Like a confused and disoriented child unable to move, whose body is at his disposal. I also assume that the 13 year old child he abused has not been the only one he has mistreated in such a way.

Criticism of Polanski I've seen before, such as from Christopher Hitchens, often seemed to bring up that Polanski had been in the Warsaw ghetto as a child. The relevance is not made plain, but the implication is that he has suffered and must not be judged. A consideration not extended to his victim by the famous French actresses who swarm to his side. Hoping for work in one of his films, perhaps? Refusing to oblige a US warrant a welcome opportunity to express some misplaced anti-Americanism?

Of all the good people who suffered and died in the war, or even just the Nazi occupation of Poland, child or adult, Jewish or not, I rage that this evil little shit was one of the survivors. For those who excuse and comfort him and honour him I have no words.

And, while I'm about it, what about the sheltering by the Vatican of those wanted for abuse in the UK? How can that poxy little pretend country witter on about morality and importance of treaty agreements and refuse to extradite paedophile priests even while it has nosily ( and evidently insincerely) expressed such regret about the abuse and the cover ups to protect priests ( while carefully avoiding any kind of apology that might admit liability)|IP-ADDRESS|80.153.30.244|MODERATIONFLAG|
