The EU has lifted the arms embargo on Syria. This means France and the UK can now arm the opposition. Russia has responded by making more weapons available to the government. It's just like old times, Russia and the West having a war in someone else's country.

With both sides suspected of committing atrocities and innocent people being killed, should either the West or Russia intervene? Should they be supplying arms to either side?

Jesus, the visible third of the Invisible Magic Friend, predicted that there would be wars. And he was right! Isaiah prophesied that swords will turn into ploughshares. He wasn't quite as good a prophet as Jesus, so we're still waiting for his prophesy to come true, but it's only been a couple of thousand years or so, so plenty of time yet.

The Invisible Magic Friend wants a peaceful solution to the civil war in Syria. Bringing that about surely means reducing the number of weapons in the area, not increasing them.
