I have been reading poetry since before I did my Eng Lit degree and still consider that much of it is just self-indulgent waffle. Maybe I constantly miss the point but maybe not. I like W B Yeats much of the time but still think that he strays into waffle quite often e.g. are his points/ideas clear in two of his most celebrated poems &#039;Byzantium&#039; or &#039;Sailing to Byzantium&#039;?
