And I will grudgingly admit that a) I don&#039;t know what whoever-it-was does otherwise with his / her money that may or may not be more &quot;socially useful&quot; (it&#039;s not my business, I concede), and b) the very act of donating that amount of money would directly result in quite a few people being in gainful employment which is a Good Thing, and c) it doesn&#039;t stick in my craw in the same way that e.g. spending obscenely colossal amounts of money on e.g. a wedding, but it rankles that this sort of money goes with headlines towards a stupid boat when local charities have to close down through lack of funds, and councils can&#039;t afford to look after their elderly.
