VERSION|0.5.1|NAME|Dinah|DATE|1373445104|CONTENT|If a large body of people wish to starve themselves from dawn to dusk that is of course entirely up to them, but why anyone should consider the practice laudable I do not know. One would think the life of the average human being was difficult and hard enough without inflicting more burdens on it. If I were to deprive myself of sustenance for a sustained period I might feel light-headed, dizzy, woozy, faint, tremulous, queasy and probably thoroughly bad-tempered, but would any of these feelings render me more spiritual whatever that is supposed to mean? The brain is a complex organ and inclined to grumble in various ways if its equilibrium is disrupted. Spiritual experiences while fasting are probably no more than it protesting about the disruption to its normal supply of nutrients.|IP-ADDRESS|79.71.121.222|MODERATIONFLAG|
