Apparently scientists have discovered that happy people live longer, seven and a half years longer to be precise. Even more exciting, they've discovered that we can change our personality with simple exercises like meditation, or picking out smiling faces on a computer screen.

Many religions include meditation. Catholics, for example, can meditate on Jesus being scourged. That cheers them up no end.

Then there's picking out the smiling faces, that's exactly like prayer. When we say "Oh thank you Invisible Magic Friend for not squashing us, or visiting terrible afflictions on somebody other than us," we're really looking at the good aspects of life.

So science has proved that religion was right all along.
