So now we can all enjoy a tasteless beefburger without killing any cows, even vegetarians. 

At least one famous writer mentioned food and drink once.

This reminds me of religion. Some (wrong) religions have restrictions on what you can eat and drink. The right religion has no such restrictions. However, it does have some symbolic food and drink as its central ceremony. This is very relevant to solving humanity's growing appetite for meat. 

Since we don't eat meat in the symbolic central ceremony of the right religion, I think you see my point. 

That, and we could feed everyone by not throwing used tea bags and chicken bones away.
