She didn&#039;t say anything about her pay, or that only specialists should interpret the Bible. She said that top charity directors had defended their greed with the &#039;labourer is worthy of his hire&#039; quote, but that if you looked at its use in the Bible you will find it used, not to justify high (or even adequate) pay, but to encourage missionaries to live off charity, because IF they are doing something worthwhile, people will support them.
