VERSION|0.5.1|NAME|Dinah|DATE|1376347554|CONTENT|The British Government consistently refuses to acknowledge the fact that this country is over-populated, putting a strain on resources and services. One reason for this is that it doesnt impact on the majority of Ministers and MPs, who by and large live in more affluent areas of towns and cities, and are not competing for accommodation, nursery and school places or sitting in over-crowded doctors surgeries and job centres. The other reason is that at the moment no government would have the guts to bring in a population policy for the country because it would be terrified that such a policy would lose them votes. But given climate change, diminishing habitats, growing global food and water shortages, it is essential that population numbers are controlled, and eventually brought down. This could be achieved by incentivising people to limit their families to two children only, through a system of rewards for those who comply, and severely limiting state aid for people who opt to have more children. Of course there can be no compulsion about controlling breeding in a democracy, but educating and informing people about the dangers of over-population, and encouraging them to do their bit for the sake of a less crowded, more pleasant land could work. |IP-ADDRESS|79.71.112.171|MODERATIONFLAG|
