Well, duh. I&#039;d never have thought of that myself. She also seemed to be saying the difference was that we had democracy, a word she used several times. Well, Egypt had a democratically elected government, whose actions precipitated the current mess. The difference is that we have a secular society, whereas Egypt is a religious society. What Egypt needs is less religion, obviously.
