VERSION|0.5.1|NAME|Steve|DATE|1378457349|CONTENT|From the BBCs description of what TFTD is:

[blockquote]offering reflections from a faith perspective on issues and people in the news[/blockquote]

The funny part is that this is the very last thing TFTD is about. It is not a reflection from any perspective, it is a pure plug. Almost all TFTDs are based on the same general structure:

Some news / TV programme / fantasy corner of Anne Atkins brain
 The moral question that arises
An (often reasonable) answer to that moral question
OH LOOK, THATS WHAT JESUS / MOHAMMED / GURU NUNCHUCK / L RON HUBBARD SAID ONCE (maybe with some shoehorn interpretation to make it fit, as with todays effort)
See, idiots, my religion was right all along

If the ideas and morals from a faith perspective are truly universal, as almost all religions claim, they would resonate with everyone without the reference to god. The reflection from a faith perspective goal is entirely served without the look at Jesus, wasnt he clever bit, but that would be to miss the point. Its like an article discussing detergent technology with a representative of Persil as the expert from his perspective it wouldnt be about the general ideas, only about getting one over on Daz. TFTD is nothing more than free advertising.|IP-ADDRESS|10.0.119.108, 217.36.222.79, 10.37.47.201|MODERATIONFLAG|
