Thanks very much for the moral support. Everyone we've spoken to over the past couple of days, people who know Terry and understand the problems he has to cope with, has expressed astonishment at this decision.

We are both completely convinced that the appeal tribunal have made some ghastly error. What we can't figure out is how they managed to do that given everything that we told them. We have to wait to get their written reasons for their decision.

I've been reading up on relevant case law and on how to take this further. We have two opportunities to have the decision set aside. The first requires us to convince a senior judge to give us leave to appeal. That must be done on the basis of a sound legal argument, and like everyone says, will almost certainly have to be drafted by a disability rights lawyer.

If the judge turns us down, then we have the option to appeal to something called the Upper Tribunal directly. Of course we then have to identify problems with both the tribunal findings and the judge's decision to deny us leave to appeal.

I'm up for the fight though!|IP-ADDRESS|92.236.214.196|MODERATIONFLAG|
